Halloween Episode?

I noticed there hasn't been an Aftersession in a long time. Is anyone free next weekend--either Saturday or Sunday night--to do one? Or that general battle-running/general-DMing episode? I'm not going out for Halloween.

There should be one in the can. We did a DM helpline for my Star Wars game a few months back. Then Dark Sun came up and Rogue Trader.

Yeah, sorry guys. I've been really bad at the whole Aftersession thing. It's tough to find time to get everything in. I'll release the one in the queue soon and hopefully we can get a few more out there.

Protes was interested in putting something together as well. If he can record and edit, there could always be a listener only session. Special correspondents for the podcast if you will. I'll try to get some time worked out though. Life is really bogging me down.

I should be available on Saturday if we want to record something. I'm going to try and play with Audacity and Skype to see whats the best method for recording. Anyone know of good software, I could also setup a Mac Mini with Garage Band, but I haven't played with that much.

I prefer WavePad Sound Editor to record and edit my stuff. Audacity was insanely unstable on my system and even crashed during recording a few times. Not a fan at all. Because of other recording issues, I've started just recording the Skype participants with speakers pointed at my microphone. Low tech? Yes. Ever failed to record someone or led to dropouts? No. I sacrifice quality for reliability on that one. Happy to let you know more if you are interested.

If your on a mac you should be using garage band or quicktime recorder. The have podcasting options.

I was thinking of using Garage Band on my Mac with Skype as a muted calle to record and use my PC for Skype calling with everyone else, but this might be overkill, I will play to find a reliable solution. I have a pretty decent PC so I might record from both Mac and PC (unless we hit the caller limit).

I've considered that before but couldn't be bothered creating another skype account, doubt you'll hit the caller limit, its pretty high i think.

Oh yeah, EST won't work for you at 3PM will it? Damned time conventions. 4pm EST is probably too late. Depending on what the group is playing this weekend, 10AM EST might work as an alternative. Who can make it to either or both for scheduling purposes?

EST is just fine; I simply need to know so that I can accommodate the time conversion. I can make it to either or both, though I may be half-awake at 10am EST. The later time is better for me.
